Summer Recipes
I’ve had the opportunity to visit a “crossroad’ island
last month - Sri Lanka. By Crossroads I mean islands
that have been occupied or visited by different cultures
over the centuries. Sri Lanka has been occupied by
India, Portugal, the Dutch and Britain. Before 1972 Sri
Lanka was called Ceylon. It’s cuisine reflects the
influence of these visitors.
The second set of
recipes are from a great restaurant in Boston which I
had the opportunity to visit in May - The cookbook is
titled It’s About Time by Michael Schlow.
